September 23 (Faith sleeping)

This is a very rare picture.  It is rare for two reasons.

1. 1.  She is asleep in her room (in her brand new bed).

2. 2.  She is sleeping laying down rather than standing up.

I am not sure if she has slept in her bed many times since this historic night.  She prefers to sleep in "Sissy's bed".  And Samantha does not mind one bit.

September 16 (Disneyland)

We decided to take a Sunday afternoon trip to Disneyland and met up with our friends.  Noah and Faith loved riding rides together and running around the playground.  You can see Faith trying to keep up with her brother!

September 15 (Beached whale in Ventura)

So, we heard about a beached whale that was just north of us in Ventura.  After Samantha's soccer game, we decided to go check it out.  You cannot imagine the enormity of this whale.  The pictures do not even do it any justice.  And it is a good thing that you cannot get the sense of smell through the internet.  We could not wear our shoes for quite a while afterwards.

September 8 (Samantha playing soccer)

Samantha is becoming quite a soccer star.  Her abilities just continue to improve.  One week after this picture was taken, she scored the first goal of her career.  We are very proud of her!

September 1 (Bowling & swimming with friends)

We spent the afternoon and evening with our good friends.  We started with bowling.  Faith had never been bowling before.  She was hysterical to watch.  Every time she would walk up to the line, roll her ball and dance back with the biggest smile.  The older kids enjoyed playing with their friends.

To cap off the evening, we roasted marshmallows in the backyard and made s'mores.  Noah, Jake and Everett enjoyed making fireballs out of marshmallows.

We are truly blessed to have such great friends!
