August 27-28 (camping at Lake Casitas)

The kids went camping with Grammy and Grandpa (along with Mommy).  At night, they made s'mores.  The kids' cousin, Devon, was there along with Noah's friend, Jack.

August 11-18 (Lake Tahoe vacation)

The beautiful foreground (our kids) and a beautiful background (Emerald Bay).

We went miniature golfing one day.  Noah was anxious to play and tried his hardest on every hole.  Faith was amused hitting the ball.

Our favorite activity while in Tahoe is rafting (or floating) down the Truckee River.  This was the first year that Faith got to see Tahoe and she enjoyed the water.  She especially liked feeding the ducks.  The highlight of the trip was when we hit the "rapids" and got stuck.  Moments later, our raft was hit by a raft full of a bunch of teenagers.  In a instant, four sets of feet were up in the air as Christy and the kids fell over.  Everyone was safe and we all enjoyed a laugh.

We celebrated 14 years of marriage.

I could not imagine my life without my best friend by my side.

One day, we rented bikes and rode on some trails along the lake.

Samantha and Noah raced each other while Faith fell asleep in the trailer.

One of our final activities was renting a 20 foot boot and cruising around the lake.

Each kid was allowed to drive for a while.  It was quite an experience when Faith

had us rocking back and forth.

August 1 (Ventura County Fair)

The kids went to the County Fair with their boots and hats.  Faith preferred to not wear her hat.  The kids had fun looking at the animals and seeing how their arts and crafts did. They earned many first place ribbons!

Way to go kids!
