Breakthrough
The morning started with our Faith waking up in a good mood. She
flashed us some smiles before we ate our usual large breakfast at our hotel.
After breakfast, we boarded our bus for the E' Ling Park. The park is
situated at the top of Chongqing and is very beautiful. Unfortunately,
the day was rather overcast and prevented us from seeing the magnificent
view.
After the park, we came back to the hotel and decided to do some
exploring. We walked a few blocks and noticed the dreadful
living conditions endured by many people here. It was sad to see but
we hope the kids learned a valuable lesson.
After eating lunch, we went back to our room. Faith had been in
such a good mood, we decided to sit her on the bed. Remarkably, she
did not get upset at all. She actually continued to smile and talk a
bit.
We then received Faith's Chinese passport. Her picture on the
passport is so cute!! We are actually sad to think about leaving
Chongqing tomorrow morning. It is truly a wonderful and unique city.
We have enjoyed it much more than we ever expected!
We ate dinner with some friends and the kids (excluding Faith) went ice
skating. The rink was much less crowded than two nights ago.
While Samantha and Noah were skating, Faith was talking a lot and smiling
even more. Christy even got her to laugh out loud several times!!
We feel so incredibly blessed!!!
Again please keep Faith and the other babies from her orphanage in your
prayers as we travel tomorrow. We are hoping their colds do not cause
them any problems as we fly.
